The Black Diamond AFL Board, the AFL Hunter Coast Juniors Board and AFL NSW/ACT have reached an in-principle agreement to establish a new local league entity (merger of juniors and seniors) to govern Hunter-Central Coast AFL competitions from 2018.

Upon final confirmation of support from the BDAFL Board and the AFL Hunter Coast Board, AFLNSW/ACT will commence the investment and governance process including:

  • Working with both leagues to convene special general meeting of league members (i.e. clubs) to vote on the proposed new model, including preparing the necessary notices to members and resolutions;
  • Incorporating the new League entity including preparation of the Constitution; and
  • Subject to the above, releasing investment funding and advertising for the new AFLNSW/ACT roles to support leagues and clubs.
