Milestones Recognized

This year the club will recognize certain players' career milestones at the October 10 Presentation Night.

The club has never before taken the step to recognize individual players' efforts with a medal.  In some past seasons certificates have been issued but this practice has now been abandoned in favour of a medal in recognition of the games they have played for the club.

Two Players Selected In Northern Heat Teams

Two of the club's leading junior players Jessie Friend and Jackson Forsyth have been selected in the regional Northern Heat Trial Under 13 & 14 teams respectively.

Both were members of the club's Under 14 team this season which was knocked out in the preliminary final.  Jackson was the captain of the side. 

The two Heat Age Groups will travel to Albury where they will contest the state trials during the school holidays between 11-14 October at the Albury Sports Ground.  From these the state teams will be selected.

  • Draino reports his young son, Luke, last weekend set his bedroom alight destroying all his belongings.
  • Paul Harrison has set off the Egypt which will include a safari in Botswanna.
  • Alex Wells is coming back to play in 2010 while brother Hugh is seeking a university placement in the ACT.
  • Alan Elsworthy is back at work after a week in hospital and is reported to be fit and well.
