2019 Seniors Coaching Staff Announced

The Killarney Vale Australian Football Club is pleased to announce that the Board has appointed stalwarts Corey Shackleton and Brendan Lewis as co-coaches for the upcoming 2019 season.

Both are Life Members of the Club, and both were named in the KVAFC 40th Anniversary team this year, where Corey was also named Vice Captain.

Corey is a multiple club Best and Fairest winner and is also a Black Diamond AFL Life Member and was named in their Team of the Decade.

Returning after an improved team performance last year, the Life Member theme continues with the re-appointment of Peter Kelleher and Murray Schubert as co-coaches of the Senior Women’s Team.

With Kelleher being a multiple premiership player, and Schubert a Davey medallist, the Bombers believe the Women’s team are in strong and capable hands.

Also after a strong team performance running deep into the Final series, Jimmy Newburn has been re-appointed as Reserve Grade Coach. Jimmy has been a very well received addition to the senior coaching ranks and is popular with players young and old.

As the pre-season is about to kick-off we are very excited to get going and are looking forward to a strong 2019.

One Big Bomber.
